Work week....

It is way toooooooooooooo nice out to be inside.....a few more hours and I am outside! Have to do some errands, but I will be driving with the windows down!!! Got the windows open at the house at least for the next few day.

My weekend!!

What a weekend! I spent all day Saturday sewing quilt blocks with a friend. We were making a stained glass quilt from a "Turning Twenty" book....we got all the blocks pieced in a day, now I am assembling the top. I got home from a great day of sewing, to find my son had wrecked his bike and had a nice patch of "road rash" across his knee....school just started and now he has a real reason not to participate in PE for a week or so, until the scab forms and he can put weight on the leg.

Sunday, I woke up thinking I had until 11am to get moving.....I was wrong! Both of my boys are in scouts and they were to be at a location to sell popcorn. I thought my shift was from 12 - 2pm, good thing my husband told me to look at the email and schedule again....that was at 9:15am - I checked the email and low and behold, I needed to be there at 10am! Now the mad dash started to get both in their uniforms, fed, myself dressed, and up the road by 10am....we made it with no time to spare. The boys were great salesmen. The popcorn is a little pricey, but considering this is the main fundraiser for Cub Scouts, people were still buying. If they couldn't, they were giving a donation. Had a great time with the other parent that was there....and it wasn't so hot since it was the morning shift....I spent the rest of the day arranging the quilt blocks on the design wall to get the best look and started on another top....will post pictures of the blocks later. I also finished a tote for a special lady...I will post a picture of that as well later.
I am still trying to get the feel of this "blogging".....it will come to me sooner or later!
